Grand Opening
New Rainier art gallery makes its debut with an exciting selection of contemporary artists in Rainier, OR
RAINIER, OR June 1, 2010— Broderick Gallery, a contemporary art gallery featuring a mix of paintings, sculptures and mixed media pieces, announced plans for their grand opening in RAINIER, OR. The gallery’s Grand Opening Reception will be on Sunday June 6, 2010 from 1pm to 6pm. The public is welcomed.
The opening exhibition will showcase paintings by:
Crawfurd Adamson, Celeste Bergin, Herbert Berman, George Broderick, Jeff Condit, Kathryn Cotnoir, Gene Faulkner, Sharon Geraci, Una Kim, Eduardo Labrada, Martha Mason, Igazio Merida, Tracy Pollock, Ernesto Pumariega, Charlene Robinson, Susana Rodriguez, Mick Rooney, RA, Erik Sandgren, Allen Schmertzler, Roderick Smith, Gary Stallsworth, Quin Sweetman and Dee Vadnais.
"With my passion for art and my love of Rainier and it’s history, it seems like a natural step to open an art gallery here," says George Broderick, owner of the Broderick Gallery. "I am excited to share with this community the beautiful art pieces I have acquired through my gallery. It will truly be a worthwhile experience for any art aficionado."
Along with the sculptures and paintings, the gallery itself is a work of art, located in the historic Dibblee House, the oldest house in Rainier. Broderick Gallery’s quality frame shop offers competitively priced archival framing. The gallery plans to hold future monthly shows featuring an international group of work with established names, as well as emerging artists. The Broderick Gallery is geared toward an interdisciplinary interpretation of art and committed to a culturally inclusive viewpoint.
